We hear a lot of sad stories every day, but the one of Winnie just breaks our hearts. She was adopted at a year old and then given away to a neighbor after two weeks because she did not get along with the resident cat. After ten years in her second home, she was left outside after her mom went into a nursing home. A neighbor was feeding her for six weeks while she was out in the cold but could not bring her inside for numerous reasons. Fortunately, we got a call for help and just in time before the sub-zero temperatures hit a couple of weeks ago. Winnie is a LOVE and so appreciative of the care she is getting at the shelter. She is a gentle, quiet, sweet, and loving girl (and need we tell you she is gorgeous). Winnie is still a youngster at 11 years old and, after a thorough medical exam and senior blood profile, she is one healthy lady. Now all she wants is a loving family to call her own.
