Manny's Story...
06-17-16
Manny is an energetic 3 year old, 45 pound border collie mix. Don't let his energy fool you, though, as he loves relaxing with his humans. He was adopted through NMAR as a puppy. Since then his family has a baby. Although he is well trained, he showed some nervous behavior about being around small children. He does have another dog in the house, but also shows some resource guarding issues as well. Although he is truly loved, his family looks to find him the best environment with someone who does not have children and would enjoy his many positive traits. He loves training and is currently working with a trainer to improve his behavioral quirks. If you want a dog who loves exercise and training, Manny is your dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Manny, a Charlotte Collie/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Golden Retriever for sale in Charlotte, or seeking a Collie/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Collie/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
