My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone! I am Eleanor, and I am looking for my forever family! Everyone in my foster family has fallen in love with me, including a 7 year old boy, and all the neighbors have too! I am around 6 years old, and weigh in at about 33 pounds. My foster family says I am so cuddly and affectionate and I have a wonderful temperament! I am obedient, and my tail never stops wagging. I only want to please!
I was picked up as a stray in Ohio, and even the shelter staff fell in love with me, and nicknamed me “Big Mama”. Not much is known about me, but it is obvious that I had several litters of puppies. I recently had surgery to remove some mammary tumors, and I’m still in recovery. I am doing well though, and will be back in top form soon.
I am pretty much a couch potato, although I do like taking a walk. I’m a really good girl, and don’t pull much. When I see a squirrel or other small animal, I’d love to chase it, but foster mom says no, and I stop right away.
Foster mom says I have good manners! I haven’t had any accidents in the house, and I am crate trained. I don’t like it much, and bark some at first, but I settle down pretty soon and just nap until someone comes to get me. I ride well in the car, and I love being outside and lying in the sun.
Best of all, my foster family says I am very smart! I know “sit”, “down”, “shake”, and “roll over”, and I bet I could learn more if you wanted to teach me! My foster family has been very happy to have an easy dog to take care of like me, but they know what I really want is a new family to be mine forever! They think it is now my turn to enjoy life, and I’m looking for that perfect family to enjoy it with! Find out how to make that happen by contacting Midwest BREW!
Love,
Eleanor
