My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Silly. I am about 6 years old and weigh around 30 lbs.

I am a very sweet boy who is learning about how awesome it is to live in a house. I haven’t had much training, but my foster parents say I am doing really well.

I love to meet new people, but I can be a bit shy and submissive. I am learning that humans are good and I don’t have to be scared. I love belly rubs and cuddling is good too.

My foster home came with 3 other Beagles and a cat. I do very well with all of them. The other Beagles are teaching me how to play and it’s really fun!

I was not house broken when I came to my foster home, but am learning quickly that I have to go outside to “do my thing”. We have a dog yard here, which is nice, but I am willing to learn to go potty on a leash if need be.

Speaking of leashes, I didn’t know much about walking with one, but foster mom says I am doing very well. The other day she told me that I was better behaved than the ones “who know better”!

Foster mom says that I am excellent at toy relocation. I like to either take them all outside or spread them all over the living room. I will also entertain myself by tossing them around and chasing them.

I have learned that I will not get in trouble if I use my foster parent’s bed or couch for a nap. I usually spend my nights sleeping on a dog bed or the couch.

I have to spend a few hours a day in a crate while my foster parents are at work. I am learning to go in on command and once in, I am very well behaved. A treat filled Kong® or a chewy makes it a lot easier.

I may even get to have free run of the house soon, if I continue being such a good boy!

I do not make a lot of noise. I will bark if the other ones here do, like if we see another dog walking down the road or if the squirrels try to invade our dog yard.

If you’d like to get to know me better, please contact the great people here at Midwest BREW!

~Silly
