Dead Dogs Walking Tennessee, Inc. has pledged to help clear some of the beautiful hounds at a rural East Tennessee kill shelter . Not by euthanizing, but by adoption!
Most of these dogs were brought in as strays so little is known about their past. The shelter supervisor does her best to evaluate each dog to help place them in the right home. Hounds typically are not good apartment dogs. They require room to run and must have a fenced yard as their noses tend to rule! They have wonderful personalities and are loyal and appreciative of any affection given.
We want these dogs to be part of a family as an inside dog, not living on a chain or in a pen with a pack of other hunting dogs.
Please help us save a life! Adoption fees range from $200-250. The dog will be spayed/neutered, UTD on shots, heart worm tested , wormed and microchipped.
We work with several different transports that bring dogs to New England every weekend. That rate is $140.00.
