As with all young dogs, Bobby Bones requires training and positive reinforcements to continue learning. We are pleased to say that he has responded extremely well to training in our care: not only is he eager to please and treat-motivated, but he also readily looks to his humans for direction. This smart pup has mastered all the basic commands, comes to a whistle, is housebroken and crate trained, respects gates, doesn't counter-surf, and rides well in the car. Quite an enviable resume, don't you think?
In the house, Bobby Bones is super affectionate and enjoys belly rubs. Outside, he loves to play fetch, run around, and use his Hound Dog's nose to sniff out critters, especially chipmunks. Due to his strong prey drive, we are requiring a physical fence in his forever home in order to keep him safe.
Furthermore, he would do best in a home with no young children or other pets. Any interactions with visiting children or dogs must be constantly supervised. He tolerates walking or standing near other dogs, but doesn't like being approached. Adult human visitors, on the other hand, are sure to win his tail wags as soon as his humans tell him that they are friends and have treats for him.
Bobby Bones is being fostered in the Twin Cities metro area, and his adoption fee is $400. If you are dog-savvy, have a quiet home, enjoy an active lifestyle, and are willing to continue his training, we would love to talk to you about Bobby Bones.
