Whiskey's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Whiskey's Story...
Whiskey is an 8 year old neutered lab mix who loves to go on walks! He would make the best running/walking buddy! He is house-trained and does great by himself in the home. Whiskey would prefer a home without any children. He has done great with most shelters dogs! Even though he is 8, he still loves to play bow and run circles with other dogs. Whiskey used to live with a cat and seems to enjoy their company! Whiskey can take a couple of minutes to warm up to new people but warms up and then asks for back scratches! He brightens up at the sight of a leash as he loves going for walks! He is a great boy and will make a fantastic addition to a very lucky home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Whiskey, a Michigan City Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Michigan City, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Michigan City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Michigan City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Michigan City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Michigan City paves the way for another one to be saved.
