My story

MEET SHEENA!!

This beautiful 6-8 year old female silver and black German Shepherd comes to us from the Downey Shelter in CA. Sheena just arrived at the rescue 7/6/2016 so we are still getting to know her. However, we have already learned that not only is she beautiful but sweet and loving as well. She knows some basic commands, is crate trained, walks well on a leash and responds well to simple corrections. Sheena also rides well in a car and has good manners when out in public. She is accepting of people coming up to meet her and even gives kisses.

Sheena prefers to be Queen of her Castle. She is selective of her 4 legged dog friends, preferring more submissive males to females. ABSOLUTELY NO CATS OR SMALL DOGS!! This girl adores people of all shapes, sizes and ages.

Sheena was checked out by our vet today and it was confirmed that she does have a slight heart murmur. Her heart rate is not elevated as a result of the murmur as you would expect from a dog with a murmur. This indicates that her heart is not having to work hard to pump blood as a result of the murmur. Sheena should have no issues as a result of this and can live a normal active lifestyle.
