Here's what the humans have to say about me:
URGENT FOSTER NEEDED!
Adler has been trying to find a new home since his owner informed us that he needed to rehome him in January, but so far no luck. His owner has looked into training options and boarding, but has been told that trainers will not assist unless there is a home for Adler to move into that they can help him transition to.
We want to help Adler find a new home ASAP, and would be willing to have him in our foster program if we can find a suitable foster home for him, preferably in the Los Angeles area.
If you can help in any way, please contact us ASAP so that we can discuss options.
Adler is a very handsome boy, about 6 years old and weighs around 50lbs.
He's up to date with all his vaccinations, neutered, and healthy - though he doesn't enjoy the vet!
Adler would benefit and do best in a home in a slightly less urban environment than he is currently in (Los Angeles), but would also do well with someone able to devote more time to exercise and stimulation.
He doesn't suffer from separation anxiety, but does appreciate quiet company.
He would do best in a home without small animals, and only dog-savvy children.
A home experienced with the breed (or other similar Asian breeds) would be best.
Adler knows some basic commands, and responds well to treats and food as a motivating force. He's primarily an indoor dog, but he really enjoys spending time outdoors.
Although he enjoys car rides, he's not a fan of getting into the car, but with encouragement and a firm (but positive) hand, he does well.
As can be quite typical for the breed, he benefits from a strong, positive leader!
