My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there. My name is Gus. I'm about 3 years old and I weigh about 60 lbs (I'm very stocky).
My best friend Madison and I were found in the East Rochester area. Some folks were having a garage sale and we were really scaring them and their customers. We didn't mean to scare anyone, but we were scared too so we kind of held our ground and growled when they tried to shoo us away.
It took the pound person several minutes to catch us because we were timid and standoffish. With some treats and sweet talk, we made up to her in no time and she was able to get us. By the time she got us back to the pound, we were best friends.
I am a really sweet and loving boy.
I am quite dapper and my head is just magnificent if I do say so myself.
I am wonderful with all of the people I have been around here at the pound. I was even good with one of the volunteer's children.
I get along pretty well with most of the other dogs I am around, but I definitely should meet any dogs that I will be living with once I get adopted.
It definitely appears that I have been a house dog. I keep my kennel pretty clean at night. I also definitely know what a couch is!! I LOVE being on the couch!
Aside from being completely infested with fleas, I seem to be in pretty good shape.
If you're looking for a great dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER JUNE 20, 2016.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $120 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING, MICROCHIP AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
