Trooper is a former street dog who is still learning about trusting humans, living in houses, leashes, and all the other strange things our dogs accept without question. He is a sweet and gentle soul who is looking for a quiet, predictable home environment with another doggy sibling(s)whom he can look to for guidance. He also needs kind, patient humans who can build his confidence and teach him that the world can be a fun, trusting place. Since being in foster, he has learned how to walk on a leash nicely, take treats gently, shake paw, sit, and lie down. He also harnesses up respectfully with 4 commands: harness, foot, buckle and leash. A securely fenced yard is advisable for Trooper so he can have regular off leash activity. Trooper's rebuilt leg is still healing and his prognosis for the future is good with daily supplements and a NSAID prescription. He will not be able to be a running partner but can run for a bit in a fenced area chashing a ball or stick. As of now he goes for daily walks of 1-2 miles. If you have room in your home and heart to help this street urchin become part of your family, please contact his foster mom today!
All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.
Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!
Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
