Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is PJ and I'm just over a year old. My brother Benny and I were taken in by Valley Dogs as the lady who was trying to help us could only keep us in her back yard and it was getting hot. She did not want us to suffer in the heat and reached out to find us help and a better home.
I am believed to be a “chug” a pug Chihuahua mix. I am smaller than a pug. I have long legs and the cute “squishy” face of a pug. I am really shy at first, so don’t be surprised if it takes me a day or two to start coming around. Once I know you are my friend I will be all over you. I love human attention and love to get petted and belly rubs and lay with you and give you kisses. I am good with other dogs, although I am shy of them too at first and will watch them for a couple of days to make sure how best to interact with them. I have not had any exposure to cats yet. I am good with kids, although do to my smaller size, children 8 years and older who know how to appropriately handle a smaller dog would probably be best.
I am working on learning all the things a good dog should learn, and I am picking them up very quickly. With a little love, patience and training, I will make a wonderful and loving companion for an individual or family. Please come and meet me.
