Chelsey is a terrific and loving dog who just wants somebody to love. She is approximately 10 months old, crate trained, housebroken, and leash trained. She is heartworm negative, spayed, vaccinated, and ready to join your family! Chelsey is a prime example of 'Black Dog Syndrome' - the statistics stating that black dogs are the last to be adopted and the first to be euthanized in shelters due to their color (their coat doesn't stand out among other dogs and therefore black dogs get chosen less often because of it.) Chelsey has been with our rescue since May 2016 and she is ready to be out of foster care and with a family of her very own.
Chelsey and her brother, Chesty, were seen being thrown out of a pick up truck's window. Luckily neither were harmed and are on their way to a much better life than the one they left behind. Chelsey has a very sweet disposition and does well with cats, kids, and other dogs. She is an active, young girl and loves to play. She is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via PETS transport services upon adoption. Her adoption fee is $400 and includes spay, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, and transport costs.
Second Chances is a rescue organization based out of Pontotoc, Mississippi which adopts dogs and puppies all over the Northeastern United States. All of our dogs and puppies are kept in private foster homes in Mississippi until adopted. Our dogs are NEVER in a facility.
