Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Godwit came to Tree House in April of 2016 as part of our TNR program, and this sweet and playful cat is ready to go to a good home! Godwit will come right up to you and greet you at the door, weaving around your legs and flopping over for pets. He especially loves having his cheeks scratched, and will show his belly for tummy rubs - don’t be fooled though! Godwit is very playful and can get overstimulated, so he would be best with an experienced cat owner who can read his body language and know when to give him space. Godwit would do well as an only kitty in a house where he can get lots of exercise and play therapy, or he could possibly coexist with another energetic cat who could be a playtime companion for him.
**Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) causes a weakening of the immune system in cats. It's often compared to human HIV, but FIV is not transferable to humans or other species. It is also difficult to transfer to other sterilized cats, and we believe that mixed FIV and non-FIV households can work if managed properly. If kept indoors in a stress-free environment, with regular medical care and high-quality nutrition, most FIV+ cats live long and healthy lives. Tree House staff can help answer your questions to see if an FIV+ cat is the right choice for you. FIV+ cats adopted from Tree House are eligible for a lifetime veterinary-care plan that includes a free annual exam and discounted treatments.
