My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Eden: 5-7 yr old stag red female, spayed, docked tail and uncropped ears. 12.5", 10.2 lb. Fully vetted. Rescued from shelter.
Eden is a very sweet girl who bonds quickly to people. We do not know anything about her past, but by the looks of her, she was used as a breeder dog. With that said, we are helping her regain her girlish figure. She has apparently had lots of socialization in her life. She loves everyone and is laid back until food appears. Boy does this girl come alive for food! She dances on her hind legs and bounces like  a little bunny. She is learning that she will only get dog food, and considering how quickly she is picking up other basics in her foster home, no doubt she will have this figured out in no time.
Eden is crate trained and became accustomed to going in one very quickly using hand gestures and treats. If the younger dogs in her foster home become a bit rowdy, she seeks out a crate to relax in until they are calm. She also likes the comfort of a dog bed when the young dogs are around because it allows for space away from their silly antics. She does not seem to mind their presence when they are calm and chooses to remain near the dogs closer to her own age. While we are still getting to know her, it appears she may be house trained as well. She has learned where the back door is and has only had one accident. She would prefer to be inside so only stays out as long as necessary. Because she is so eager to please people and thrives on praise, this little girl is going to be a pleasure to work with on basic obedience.
While there are no cats in her foster home, Eden was around some at the shelter. One hissed at her, and she backed away. We believe she is a dog who could coexist with them based on her reaction. She is curious about them but not overly so, especially if they give off warnings.
stay tuned for further updates as we become better acquainted with this girl, and in the meantime, if you believe Eden will be a good fit for your home, please complete an adoption application with her name on it.
