Bugira's Story...
Meet 8 yr old Bugira! Bugira was surrendered to the shelter for being too old, but Bugira says he doesn’t even know what those words mean. After all, you’re only as old as you feel and Bugira feels gooood! This happy, spunky Pug mix is ready to leave the shelter behind and start a new life with his new family. Bugira walks perfect on the leash and loves to go on walks. He’s always up for meeting new people and would love to go everywhere with you! Bugira knows “sit” for a treat and is happy to show off his trick. It’s hard not to fall in love with Bugira’s wagging curly Pug tail and huge smile. We can’t imagine anyone not wanting to love and keep him forever!

Bugira does well with his kennel mate; bring your dog from home in and we can help you make sure everyone gets along prior to adopting.

You can meet 8 yr old Bugira at the East Valley shelter at 2630 W. Rio Salado Pkwy., Mesa. Hours are from 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. Bugira’s $20 adoption fee includes neuter, rabies certificate and County license.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bugira, a Phoenix Pug/Schipperke dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Schipperke for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Pug/Schipperke dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Schipperke breeders who help with Pug/Schipperke rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
