I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Meet Guido! Guido wins our "Good Dog" summer camp badge because he's just that- a good dog! Many people incorrectly assume there is something "wrong" with the owner surrendered dogs at our shelter. Not so! Guido was surrendered to the shelter through no fault of his own, when his former owner said they were allergic to him. According to his former owner, Guido does well with kids and meeting new people, is good with other dogs and is housebroken. Guido was certainly friendly as soon as we met him and crawled right in our lap seeking attention and pets. This little butterball looks a little bigger in pics than he actually is (although he is pleasantly plump lol!) and weighs only about 10-12 pounds. Guido walks great on the leash and will "sit" for a treat. He had a great time sniffing around the photo room and exploring every corner, then coming over to us for some pets. He's overall a chill, mellow guy and seems to be pretty low maintenance.
Guido does well with his kennel mates who are all around his same size and would love to meet your dog from home; bring them in and we can help you make sure everyone gets along.
So you see- Guido is not just a good dog, he's a GREAT dog! If you'd like to meet 5 yr old Guido, you can visit him in D building at our West Valley Animal Care Center (2500 S. 27th Ave., Phx). Hours are from 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. Guido's $20 adoption fee includes neuter, rabies certificate and County license.
