My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Ares, but I'm not the Greek god of war. No sir, I'm a handsome, very sweet, affectionate Classic orange-tabby-with-white DSH who was born in late March 2016. Classic tabby means that my tabby markings are in marble swirls instead of mackerel stripes -- so I'm unique and unusual! And how many ginger tabby fellas have you seen with 4 white mittens, a white muzzle, white bib, and white tummy?
Am I cute, or what? My foster mom nicknamed me Grandpa because I can have a grouchy expression on my face, but, no worries, my heart is as loveable as they come. In fact, my foster mom says, in short, that I am "an awesome, awesome kitty" who is just full-to-the-brim with personality. She says that I'm the complete package -- good looks, frisky, and yet a cuddle bug.
This is my modus operandi: first I love to play with my siblings as well as my favorite balls with bells and catnip mice; then when I'm exhausted from playing, I seek out a human lap to snuggle up in in order to nap. Cuddling with my humans is one of my favorite pastimes. And my foster family loves to hold me like a baby, and I relish it. I like to be squished up against you so I can hear your heart beat. I'm one of those rare kittens who seeks out human companionship from adults as well as kids (even though there are plenty of 4-legged critters, dogs as well as cats, here in my foster home with whom I can play).
However, in the beginning, I am on the shy side with people until I warm up to them. Just give me a short amount of time, and I won't disappoint you that I'm a typical friendly marmalade tabby.
My siblings and I were born in an abandoned house, and I was orphaned when my mom was killed by a car. A nice lady heard our cries because we were so hungry. She fed us, and my foster mom offered to take us in.
As much as I love playing with all the 2- and 4-legged animals of all ages in my foster home, I am ready for my forever home! Won't you be my lifetime best friend and give me a home of my very own? I promise to snuggle in your lap and be your baby to hold!
Ares is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. His adoption fee is $125 for kittens 9 months old and younger, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends.
