Dakota's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Dakota's Story...
Dakota is a beautiful, 2 yr old Brittany mix female. Her owner made the decision to relinquish her to rescue due to a change in her living situation.

Dakota's "Mom" worked from home so she is pretty used to always having someone at home, so I'm not sure how she would do being left alone for 8-9 working hours. She hasn't had a lot of interaction with other people. Thus, she is unsure of strangers until she gets to know you. But once she knows you, she is trusting and friendly. We are planning to work on this issue with her by taking her out in public a bit more.

Dakota is good with other dogs; not good with cats or tortoises, She is house trained and good in a wire kennel. Dakota's vaccines are up to date, she is spay and tested negative for heartworm, tick and lyme diseases.

If you would be interested in meeting Dakota, please contact us at britrescueaz@cox.net.

Dakota's adoption donation is $325 which includes a microchip. Adoption donations help our rescue feed and provide medical care to the other dogs in our rescue that may not be as lucky to find adoptive homes.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dakota, a Phoenix Brittany dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Brittany for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Brittany dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Brittany breeders who help with Brittany rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
