Gwen's Story...
Gwen is a 7 year old Torbie girl who has been with us since June. Gwen came to us after losing the only home she has ever known to a move that did not include her. Gwen was never well socialized as a kitten, and therefore is a very shy girl who will require a quiet home and a very patient owner to let her come out at her own pace. Gwen does love other cats though, especially laid back male cats. Gwen would make an excellent companion to another cat at home. Her best friend here in the shelter has been adopted, and now Gwen is looking for a new kitty companion to shadow! If you are looking for a buddy for an existing cat or are willing to open you heart and home to a very shy but beautiful girl, come in and ask to meet Gwen!

Gwen is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gwen, a Salisbury Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Salisbury, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Salisbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salisbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salisbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salisbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
