This girl with pretty eyes is Tasha. Tasha, a Vizsla mix, was rescued from the Pulaski County Animal Shelter. Tasha is approximately 2 years old, weighs 26 pounds and gets along great with other dogs, will chase cats. She is spayed and also house trained. Tasha has a lot of energy but can also be very laid back. She needs exercise but is also a couch potato. Tasha seldom barks.
The Pulaski County Humane Society is a growing number of volunteers who feel that animals are an important part of lives here in Pulaski County. Our animals reside primarily in foster homes, so we are limited in the number of animals we can rescue. We always need more volunteers to help us save more pets.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We have monthly Adoptathons on the 3rd Saturday of each month at Somerset Mall in Somerset, Kentucky. We also have a monthly adopt-a-thon on the first Saturday of each month at PetSense in Somerset. You can also make appointments to meet the animals by calling 606-451-2367.
Our Adoption Process...
The adoption process consists of the adopters meeting the animals, filling out a bit of paper work, paying the adoption fee, and agreeing to a post-placement home visit. The adoption fees are: $95 for dogs/puppies older than 6 months and $125 for puppies under 6 months old.
