Sunny's Story...
Sunny is an energetic 4 year-old male cat, rescued in Red Hook from Superstorm Sandy. Having been with his rescuer since then, Sunny needs a forever home with more friends! He has lived with a cat and a dog and did very well with both- he now lives with only his busy foster dad and needs a home where he will receive more attention. Sunny is a snuggle bunny at night, and prefers to sit by himself and observe during the day. One of his favorite daytime pastimes is to watch the world through the window. He loves a high perch, such as atop kitchen cabinets where he will recline and intently watch dinner being cooked. Sunny also loves belly rubs from those he trusts. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunny, a Brooklyn Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
