Leo's Story...
THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING FOR AN OWNER LIVING IN THE WARWICK RI AREA. We are prescreening potential homes for this ferret and would pass along your information directly to the owner. You both meet and the owner makes the final decision on who will adopt the ferret. Any rehoming fee is paid to the owner.

Leo is a 3 year old silver boy who is up to date on all his shots. Leo is very laid back and loves to cuddle! He has a small growth on his shoulder but it has been checked and is benign. It does not seem to be growing, but may need to be watched. Leo has a friend, Sol, who must be adopted with him.

We at the Ferret Association will provide an adopter with free care info, samples and coupons for your new pet, as well as up to 1 hour of free counseling by phone or email to make sure the transition into your home goes smoothly.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leo, a Warwick Ferret was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ferret for sale in Warwick, or seeking a Ferret from a breeder in Warwick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warwick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warwick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ferret breeders who help with Ferret rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warwick paves the way for another one to be saved.
