Dudley is a 16-year-old, 30-pound Cocker Spaniel. He faithfully served his previous guardian as her service dog, going with her to doctor appointments and being her loyal companion. Sadly, she is now too ill to continue caring for him, and he's looking for a new family to love. Well into his golden years, it's Dudley's turn to be taken care of, and we hope to find him a new, loving companion as soon as possible. He's not much trouble at all. Dudley spends most of his day (and night) sleeping. Though he's very mellow, he still has enough energy to give you lots of love and affection. Sometimes you'll even get a glimpse of the puppy in him, which is a joy to behold. He gets along great with other dogs and makes human friends very quickly. He does well with gentle children, too. Cats are a little lower on his list, though.Dudley is both house-trained and crate-trained. Due to his age, he does have the occasional accident inside. He doesn't mean to, it's just hard to get outside quickly enough. He knows basic commands and walks great on a leash, but due to his arthritis it's slow going. He is blind in his left eye, which requires daily drops. Dudley is a sweet and gentle soul who deserves a loving home after being such a loyal friend. We hope someone comes to his rescue soon.
