Facts about Maisy

  • Breed: Domestic Longhair
  • Color: Tortoiseshell
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 10191361
  • Hair: Long

Beautiful and fluffy, Maisy is hard to resist. Everyone who meets her says what a lovable lady she is. Though cautious when first meeting people, once she’s warmed up she is as sweet as can be. Her foster says that she likes to “put her paw on you when you are near”; almost like her version of holding hands. She’s even one of those cats who likes loves to have her belly rubbed! Who can resist her with all the fluff just begging to be tousled? And while you’re fluffing her doo, she might just throw a meow or two your way.

Maisy’s foster says she’s a great companion and even welcomes you home at the end of the day. Potential adopters should know that this gentle lady is on a special diet for her irritable bowel syndrome, but her even temper doesn’t make it much of a burden for her caregiver. Between her good looks and her charming purr-sonality, what else is there to say? Reach out to Cat Town today to set up a meeting with the lovely Maisy.

Maisy is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, and $50 to adopt.

Cat Town is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, formed by long term volunteers from Oakland Animal Services (OAS) and other Bay Area shelters. We have partnered with OAS to take the cats who are least likely to do well in a shelter setting. About Cat Town

About Our Rescue Group...

Cat Town is a 501(c)(3) cat rescue organization based in Oakland, CA. Formed by volunteers of Oakland Animal Services (OAS) (Oakland's municipal shelter), our mission is to find homes for the cats least likely to be adopted from OAS because they can't handle the stress of the shelter environment. By getting these cats into foster homes, they can relax and show their true personalities to potential adopters. We focus on older semi-feral kittens, stressed, shy or undersocialized cats, and cats who are older and/or have special needs. We are a relatively new organization and are all-volunteer run. We operate on a shoestring budget so can always use financial donations, as well as food, litter and other supplies. We are always looking for great foster homes and volunteers for everything that we do. Helping these vulnerable cats is pure joy! Please contact us at info@cattownoakland.org to get involved.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our cats are in foster homes, mostly in Oakland, CA, but some are in surrounding cities. Our fosters are generally very flexible about scheduling cat introductions.

Our Adoption Process...

All of our cats are in foster homes, mostly in Oakland, CA, or other nearby cities. We will talk to you by phone to make sure the cat sounds like a good fit for your home before setting up an introduction in the foster home. We have a pretty straightforward adoption application, which you will be asked to complete only after you have met a cat who you want to adopt. Our adoption fees for kittens and cats up to age 7 are $50 for a single cat or $75 for pair; cats age 8 an older are $35 for a single cat or $50 for a pair. All cats are spayed/neutered, current on their vaccinations and microchipped. Cats age six months or older are tested for FIV/FeLV.
