Hello, I’m Ziggy. I made my way to my foster mom’s house after a series of thunderstorms. She took me that night and kept me out of another storm. It was so nice to be dry that I didn’t cry a bit when thunder was rumbling and lighting was flashing. The next day we drove to the vet to see if I have been microchip – no such luck. I was praised by my foster mom for being an excellent car-riding dog. After a bit of coaxing, I climbed in the backseat by myself. It took me a moment to settle down, but I lay down in the back seat and relaxed. We had a few more car rides since then and each time it was a relaxing adventure – it’s a good time to catch a couple of ZZZs. My foster mom and I like to go for long walks and I have been learning good leash walking skills. I pretty good at staying to her right side and staying out of way as we walk. I’m also good at walking next to her, striding along at her pace. My foster mom says that I will be an excellent walking or running buddy. With instruction from my foster mom, I am learning to sit and not jump up. We work on these skills each day. She has told me that I am super smart and sees improvement each day. I look forward to learning more skills. I am proud to say that I have not had a single accident in the house – even over night while I am in my crate. Instead I always do my business either on the leash when we are walking or in the back corner of the yard. Foster mom works on a computer for a much day – while she is doing this I lie near to her or amuse myself with one of my toys. Once in a while I get rubs my ears from her. Oh, speaking of my ears – I love ears rubs and neck scratches. It settles me down and I melt away like butter. I hope that you are able to make your home my forever home.
