Peanut's Story...
HI I am Peanut. I was saved from a shelter and, boy, am I thankful!. I love other kitties. I am a little shy if a human tries to approach me but I like attention if you let me come to you. I do usually like to be in the same room as my human and I love to snuggle in bed. I like to sleep against my foster mom's legs at night. I am a very curious fellow. I love to play with toys and with other kitties. I have a cute white dot on my chest and a small white area on my belly. I think it gives me character. My foster Mom says I am one of her favorites because of my personakity and gentle dusposition. If you are interested in me or have any questions, please contact Katherine at 404-966-3660 or adoptions@gahomelesspets.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peanut, a Smyrna Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Smyrna, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Smyrna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smyrna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smyrna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smyrna paves the way for another one to be saved.
