June 24th, 2016: Sadly Big Tony is being returned to the Cat Shack through no fault of his own. He is now 9-years-old and would love a wonderful new home. More info soon.
UPDATE 3/8/11: I am still a large cat who loves kisses, head scratches, sitting on your lap, and being number 1!!! I still am not comfortable with small children, but I do great with older ones who don't scare me : )))
This big burly guy is VERY handsome with beautiful markings. Once he gets to know you, he wants to be held and sit on your lap!!! My 13year old daughter picks him up and gives him kisses---he LOVES IT!!! He slowly makes friends with new cats, but he is truly an Alpha male. He is startled by young children, so he would do best in a home with teens or older.
Big Tony has been neutered, dewormed, Frontlined, tested neg for FIV/FeLV, and up to date on vaccines.
The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
The first step in adoption is to...
Young KITTENS are always adopted in Pairs or to homes with other felines already in the home. Click here to read why kittens are happier with a buddy!
All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
