Hammond's Story...
Psssst! Wanna adopt a cat? Let me introduce myself. My name is Hammond. I wear my “tux” well, don’t you think? I am a one year old boy, looking for a very special furever family. I am a very sensitive guy who loves hugs and kisses. I'm also very social - I love everyone. If you take me home, I'll be sure to show you! I can be a little rascal sometimes - I like to steal your chair as soon as you get up. You won't have the heart to make me move when I look at you with my innocent eyes. One of my favourite games is playing with the automatic paper towel dispensers. The people who take care of me think it's hilarious when I give them piles of paper towels. Since I am a sensitive kind of guy, I prefer other cat friends that aren’t too dominant and would do best with older children. I like to take long naps in the sun on the back of the couch and enjoy a good meal and treats!

I was found outside when I was younger, alone and hungry. I was very sad and scared. The great folks at the rescue saved me and now I really want to find my own purrmanent home.

I would love to meet you and your family and hopefully, you will love me and take me home!

I am current on my vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hammond, a Oakville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oakville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Oakville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakville paves the way for another one to be saved.
