Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bobby is a 4 y/o male, who found himself taken to a small town shelter. His owner gave no real reason and the staff reached out to HBHR to help find this wonderful boy a new home. Bobby was a hefty 40 pounds, but is active and will continue to lose weight with a good diet and exercise. He just needs a walking buddy who enjoys long walks and a trip to the dog park a few times a month!
Bobby came fully housebroken and has excellent manners. He never needs to be kenneled and has never gotten into anything. He interacts well with his canine buddies but is not super playful. Bobby is never aggressive. He is a gentle giant when ‘wrestling’ with the puppy in the pack. He has been good with the neighborhood kids, but will need to learn not to jump up when saying hello! He enjoys chasing birds in the yard, but rarely bays. If he sees someone out the front window, he will emit only a low growl. He would be perfect in an apartment.
Bobby does have a secret desire to be a lap dog! He will jump up beside you and squeeze himself in next to you even if you are in a chair. Bobby then will quietly soak up all the love you have to give. It is best to just plan on sitting on the couch, so he has plenty of room for cuddling! Bobby is a big warm, teddy bear of a dog with a huge heart that is full of love. Make this boy a place to call his own in your home.
