Walter's Story...
Hello, my name is Walter. My foster family named me after a pastor friend of theirs from Louisiana. By my best memory I was born on Sept. 27, 2007. I was found as a stray on April 14, 2008 and moved in to my current foster home. My foster mom thinks I was "dropped off" out in the country because when she found me I smelled like cigarette smoke...and I don't smoke. I'm a very playful kitty; I like people and other cats but I'm a little afraid of dogs...but I could probably learn to like them. I don't like baths, taking medicine or having my ears cleaned, other than that I'm just a wonderful ball of fur looking for a forever home that will love me, care for me and keep me safe.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Walter, a Sheboygan Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Sheboygan, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Sheboygan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sheboygan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sheboygan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sheboygan paves the way for another one to be saved.
