Betsie & ANGEL came to us recently and here is their story. Betsie has had a bit of a tough time, with 10 hours of labor, followed by a C-section and spay. No fun. But Betsie is a good mom to her surviving pup, ANGEL. She did a good job of nursing her daughter, recovered well, and now has been adopted out to a very loving and wonderful home where she will get the care and love she deserves.
And now we are looking for an ideal placement for Angel, this special surviving pup. She will look like her mom, only more petite. She has just opened her eyes and will be ready for adoption in 3 to 4 weeks. So if you are looking for a special female puppy, please send in an application. You must sign a "will spay at 5.5 months" contract at adoption. Angel is a hero pup and her adoption fee of $275 will help some other needy dachshund. No other animals in the home please. And Angel can only be placed in a home where she will have lots of attention -- either "stay at home" or work part time situation.
Perhaps if you are not quite ready or able to adopt, you might be willing to help our rescues pass their time in rescue by donating toys and long lasting chew bones. We are also in desperate need of clothes washing soap, disinfectant and Lysol spray. PLEASE HELP. Any assistance would be appreciated!
