Joy to the World!

Little Joy doesn't know what a blessing she is. She was kept outside a lot  and badly neglected for most of her life. She weighs 6.6 pounds and we were told she is 7 years old. Also she was full of worms when we got her but has been treated for them and is clear. Another few days and she would have been in serious trouble! She also had a gol f ball sized mammary tumor which has been successfully removed. And she had a dental and lost quite a few teeth but still has some!   She is so scared of being picked up...forces herself into a corner. But once up, she enjoys being stroked and sung to. And she will tuck her little head into your neck.  She wants to be friends...will dance around and give your fingers kisses while her tail is going a mile a minute! She just needs someone who is patient and gentle to help her learn to trust. She gets along with her foster brothers and sisters so is good with other animals. And she appears to know to use pee pads. Watching Joy blossom will bring joy to your heart!
She's getting well for now waiting in Chattanooga for her forever family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joy*Adopted, a Belcamp Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Belcamp, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Belcamp.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Belcamp already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Belcamp breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Belcamp paves the way for another one to be saved.
