Are you searching for the perfect cat? One that gets along with other cats, dogs and little children? Well, your search stops here. My name is Slinky and I am one cute, cross-eyed fella. I had a rough start in life. I was a street cat hanging out with a colony of ferals. I'd get beat up regularly by the other scrappy, wild cats. My luck changed when a series of events led me to AARF. Now I'm ready for my forever home. I'm currently in a foster home where I've learned house manners and am loving life! I have a dog who is a really good friend and even lets me rub up against his muzzle (which I do, a lot!).  The children in house are great too, I don't even mind a bit when they start squealing and running like crazy! And ball! Oh my goodness the ball! When the humans play with me with that string and ball, I couldn't be happier!

Our Adoption Process...

All AARF dogs have all received their shots, are on heartworm and flea preventative, have been spayed/neutered and microchipped. All AARF pets are fostered in loving foster homes, where they receive love and attention, beginning training and socialization. We have a group of fantastic fosters who help us to create an adoptable and healthy companion for your home.

We don't "sell" dogs here at AARF. But we do ask for a minimum adoption donation to help us cover the cost of all of the vet care the dogs have received. Effective, January 1, 2010, our adoption donation is $225 for dogs. All adoption donations are tax-deductible, and help AARF continue our rescue and adoption program.
