Fog is a gorgeous tabby cat with a lot of white markings. He and his brother Rain have been together since they born in 2010. It's easy to tell them apart since Rain is all black. Fog is a little more shy than his brother, but he is a real sweetheart. Even though he gets along well with other cats, there are way too many felines at Heartland as far as Fog is concerned. He likes to hang on a top shelf and observe the activity inside and the wildlife outside. It's his safe spot and that's fine with us! Rain and Fog were in a home for several years but once again find themselves looking for the perfect individual or family. They need to be adopted together. They have lived with cats, dogs and kids.

About Heartland Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

Heartland Animal Shelter is a no-kill humane 501 c 3 organization dedicated to finding homeless pets forever homes while educating the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets in order to help with the pet overpopulation problem.

Dr. Herbert Preiser, DVM and founder of Heartland Animal Shelter wanted to make a difference by saving the lives of pets who might otherwise be euthanized because of the over-population of unwanted pets. Dr. Preiser opened Heartland Animal Shelter in October of 2002.

Heartland's vision is to eliminate euthanasia to any adoptable animal. Heartland asks for your support by spreading the word about the importance of why pets should be spayed or neutered in order to prevent overpopulation of cats and dogs. Together we can make a difference!
