Rain and his brother Fog have been together since birth and need to be adopted together. Rain is all black and he loves when people pet him. Rain and Fog were born in 2010. They were part of a stray litter that was found and brought to Heartland. These gentle and sweet boys were in a home for several years, but, unfortunately they are back at Heartland and waiting for a loving family. They are great with other felines and we were told they were good with dogs and kids in their previous home. If you have room in your home and heart for two sweet boys, please consider adopting this wonderful bonded pair.

About Heartland Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

Heartland Animal Shelter is a no-kill humane 501 c 3 organization dedicated to finding homeless pets forever homes while educating the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets in order to help with the pet overpopulation problem.

Dr. Herbert Preiser, DVM and founder of Heartland Animal Shelter wanted to make a difference by saving the lives of pets who might otherwise be euthanized because of the over-population of unwanted pets. Dr. Preiser opened Heartland Animal Shelter in October of 2002.

Heartland's vision is to eliminate euthanasia to any adoptable animal. Heartland asks for your support by spreading the word about the importance of why pets should be spayed or neutered in order to prevent overpopulation of cats and dogs. Together we can make a difference!
