I am up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Tierra's Story...
Say hello to Tierra (Spanish for earth). She is a border collie/pit mix born 4/29/16.. Tierra came to us from a very high-kill area in OK so she could have a chance of finding her forever family.

Tierra is the perfect name for this little girl. She is grounded, down to earth and pretty even-keeled for a pup. But make no mistake, she's a playful, loving, ornery puppy!

Tierra wants nothing more than to be with people - no matter their age. She gets along with all other dogs, is smart as a whip and sooo very sweet!

Her adoption fee is $175 and includes age-appropriate shots, worming, microchip and spay at our vet, or $150 with a $112 spay deposit (what our vet would charge for her spay) which will be returned upon proof of spay. An approved application is required (which can be found here: http://pawsitivetailsrescue.org/our-adoptable-pets/pawsitive-tails-rescue-dog-adoption-application-form/), as is an adoption contract.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tierra, a Torrington Border Collie/Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Torrington, or seeking a Border Collie/Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Torrington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Torrington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Torrington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Border Collie/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Torrington paves the way for another one to be saved.
