Here's what the humans have to say about me:
As you may know, each Pokemon has special abilities. This pup, Pikachu, is shockingly cute! She has an outgoing, sweet personality and gets along well with her big brothers and other, much larger dogs. She knows how to walk on a leash, and likes to just plop down and roll around in the grass after a long walk.
Based on appearance--look at those ears!! --we think she is a hound mix, maybe Beagle or Treeing Walker Coonhound. Since this is just a guess, only those willing to take pot-luck in terms of her ultimate breed and size should apply. But she is definitely a hound, which means she would be a good choice for an active family. Hounds are smart and affectionate, and make good companions and family dogs. Some breeds are easier to train than others, but all need vigorous daily exercise.
Because she is small (under 10 pounds) and young (12 weeks on 6/21), Pikachu needs a family where someone is home part or all of the day to get her potty-trained, keep her well-socialized and exercised. Puppy obedience school is also required.
You can meet Pikachu at her current foster home, Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Rd., during normal store hours (847-251-6750, www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Though you may want to take her home on the spot because of her electric personality, please know you will have to go through our normal application process. These pups are so cute you might be tempted to "catch 'em all," so if Pikachu is not available, take a look at her siblings!
Her adoption fee of $375 includes: vet exam, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm preventative and spay.
