Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Brownie was rescued from a high - kill shelter. He is very shy and that would have made him not very adoptable or easy to place there. Once he warms up, when given the chance, Brownie is a sweet, lovable guy. He has issues on the leash and is fearful of being on one. We think he was probably never walked on one. He is getting better but we know he will still need continued work in his new home to make him the best we know he can be. Brownie would do best in a laid back home, perhaps with one other dog or as an only pet. He appears to be mostly housebroken in the visit we had him on in a worker's relative ' s home. Brownie will make a loyal guy for someone...if someone will just give him that chance. He LOVES our staff and stands up on us to give "hugs" almost constantly throughout the day. He has no fear of the staff or the dogs in the shelter, as this has become his "safe spot." We feel Brownie should go to a home with a securely fenced yard, making his transition from shelter to home life, easier for him. Until we can find the perfect home for our Brownie, he is safe and loved by all of us!
