Facts about Geri

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black (All)
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Geri is an independent soul who likes to be the center of attention.
She is friendly, loves to be around people and will demand your undivided attention by rubbing against your legs or chirping at you until you pet her.
She has a dominant personality and definitely likes to be the boss if other dogs or cats are around.
She has fulfilled her role as proud Mom to three beautiful kittens and is now ready to move on to the next chapter of her life in a home that will spoil her with love and attention.
Geri is a very curious cat who is interested in everything that is going on in the house.
Geri has come along nicely, she is still a little shy with strangers.
She is a talkative girl with her own languages of grunts & chirps. She still acts as 'guard cat' and alerts her foster mother to anyone who is at the door.
Geri would do best as an only cat.

She likes to be the spotlight kitty and enjoys the attention from people but does not pay much attention to other cats.
She gets along with her foster's large breed dog and actually sleeps with the dog on the couch.
She would be fine with a dog, especially one that is good-natured like a golden retriever or lab.

About Abbey Cat Adoptions

About Our Rescue Group...

Abbey Cat Adoptions is a registered Canadian charity dedicated to finding permanent homes for unwanted cats and kittens throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Each year, ACA rescues cats from outdoor environments and overcrowded shelters.
Our cats live in a network of volunteer foster homes throughout the GTA until they are adopted into suitable, loving homes; we do not have a shelter. We are not government funded and we have no paid staff; we rely exclusively on the generosity of like-minded animal lovers to fund our program.

Our Adoption Process...

We want to make sure that our rescued cats and kittens go to good, loving homes so before we adopt, an adoption counselor will conduct a short pre-adoption interview to make sure that you and the cat are a good match.
175 dollars for 6 months old & up (including spay/neuter)
