My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mash, a beagle/basset hound mix, who has completed his heartworm treatment YEA and is ready to go onto the next step of his new life, a forever home.

Mash is a very friendly, laid back guy who just likes to be with his humans. Mash is housetrained, crate trained (although it's not really necessary), good with dogs and cats. Mash is an independent guy, although recently he has demonstrated he knows how to play with the other dogs and the cat. Mash is very good in the car and very good on a leash. Because Mash has such a deep bark, I don't recommend him for an apartment or condo.

Mash's forever home wishes include:

A couple, single or empty nesters;
Another dog or not. He's pretty independent and I think he would love to be the only one getting all the attention;
A crate just in case. No real need to crate him, he's harmless;
A fenced yard would be nice, but if not available, then a trip to the dog park a couple times a week would suffice;
Mash is large, but very gentle and very easy to walk. We think that Mash was kept in some kind of kennel without a lot of human contact. Therefore, lots of one-on-one with him I feel would be best. You really need to meet him, I guarantee you'll fall in love instantly.
