A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH:  3 years old / 79 lbs.  Meet me Saturdays at 1 of our 2 Kennesaw locations from 11-4pm.  Check for my location at www.mostlymutts.org after 5pm on Fridays.  I am a big, lovable guy who has had a bit of a rough time. When animal control found me, I had an embedded collar in my neck and hematomas on my ears from old, untreated ear infections, as well as skin issues and Heart-worms. My skin and ears have been treated, and I am eating healthy, grain-free food now, which is helping everything improve, and I’ve already been treated for the Heart-worms too! Though I have had a rough start to life, I don't let it get me down! I have a great personality and would be a nice fit for a family who will commit to continuing my training as it seems that I missed out on the normal doggie training that all pups need. I had not spent much time on a leash either, but my leash training is improving everyday as my foster family works with me. They have also taught me to ‘sit’ and report that I’m treat motivated, so that will help with other training too. I like tough chew toys and bones, and I love to play fetch – just have more than one ball handy, as I haven't learned to drop it just yet. My potty manners have been very good, and I keep my crate clean too as well as being well behaved in it, so that's great! I don't care for other dogs or cats so I should be your only pet, but I can walk near other animals fine when wearing a prong collar for my walks. If you distract me by talking to me while we’re on walks whenever dogs, runners, children with loud toys, squirrels, and the like come upon us, that really helps too. When there isn't anything around to grab my attention, I walk pretty nicely on the leash, but always keep a good hold of it. I also love following you around in the home, not in a needy way, but just in an "I'll keep you company way".  I am very strong with lots of energy and – though I would not mean to, I could easily knock over children, so best my furever home should have older kids only.  Energy level 6-8. I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered and my adoption fee is $275.00.

About Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption

About Our Rescue Group...

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!
Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse

Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
