Adele's Story...
"Hello. It’s me. I was wondering after all these years if you would like to meet." My name is Adele (like the singer - I used the lyrics from her song “Hello” in my greeting). I’m 7 years old and I weigh 52 pounds. I was picked up in North Alabama as a stray and sent to a shelter. I found the shelter to be a noisy, scary place even though the people there were kind to me. They contacted AGB for help. AGB got me to a doctor who treated some wounds on my legs and had to pull a tooth that was bothering me. I am feeling much better now that I am in my foster home. I am a calm, well behaved girl and everyone who has met me tells me I’m very sweet. If you are looking for a sweetheart to call your own, I hope you will submit an adoption application and tell AGB you want to meet me, Adele.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Adele, a BIRMINGHAM Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
