Additional info:
Imelda is a quiet, low energy girl who is timid at first but warms up quickly. She is good with strangers and respects the space of other dogs in the home. She is curious and loves to explore and can end up hiding in the tiniest spaces so she needs to be in a secured environment. Imelda needs work on leash training. She is barking and lunging while on the leash so we are having to work with her to teach her how to walk like a lady and not be quite so feisty. She is not aggressive on the leash - just hyper. She has some separation anxiety when left alone in her crate but she is better when the other dog in the home is crated nearby and in visual distance. She is housetrained. Imelda is gaining in confidence. When she first came into rescue, she was too scared to walk up and down steps but she was a really brave girl and kept trying and not she trots up and down them like a pro! She is a really sweet, affectionate girl and will make a loving, gentle companion.
