Gucci (in CT)'s Story...
Gucci (in CT) is 5 years old. She is affectionate & friendly. She LOVES cheek rubs & will keep asking for more for quite a while before she finally decides she's had enough! She prefers cheek & chin rubs to petting anywhere else, but tolerates petting elsewhere. She's ok with being held in your arms while you're standing for short periods but prefers your petting her while she's laying down; she will allow you to put her in your lap but would probably get up in a few minutes to lay down next to you--but that doesn't mean she wants you to stop giving her attention; when she's had enough she'll simply curl up the other way when you offer your hand (vs pushing her head into your hand). She is a little depressed in the cage at Petsmart and would love to be in a home. She is great with other cats.

She has been tested for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) & FeLV (feline leukemia virus) & found to be negative, and is already spayed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gucci (in CT), a Manchester Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Manchester, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Manchester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manchester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manchester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manchester paves the way for another one to be saved.
