Bowie is a very nice little guy and immediately transitioned into a group of dogs. He never had any sort of guidance and developed some pretty deep fears of just about everything. He needs to go to a home with another dog. He totally comes out of his shell with another dog. He is best with playmates his own size or bigger. Clearly, he LOVES the water!
Bowie is extremely nervous in new situations but that will change with time the more he is exposed to different environments and situations. We are working with him every day, and he is making progress, but he will need a very patient and compassionate person to help him thru his fearfulness.
It takes him some time to feel comfortable with new people, but once he feels safe and knows that he can trust you, he is incredibly sweet. He continues to make great strides every day, and he's a happy, ready-to-please boy. Although we believe Bowie would really like kids, and eventually would do quite well with them, he needs to develop more confidence and know that he is safe and secure in his environment. So, until then, we don't recommend young children at this time.
