My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ace spent his life on a chain prior to his surrender to the pound. His collar was almost embedded in his neck, the hair under it was completely worn off down to bare skin and his coat looked as though it had never known a brush. He recently had a 'spa day' at the groomers and looks and feels so much better now but still has a ways to go to undo the damage done from years of neglect. Ace is a pretty chill guy who is friendly despite his burly appearance! He's a roughly 4-6 yr. old, neutered male mixed breed. Because of his time spent chained, Ace is reactive to other dogs when he's on a leash, however, he doesn't seem bothered by his kennel neighbors even when they are in close proximity. He has been cat tested and did fine with the two cats he met in the pound. Ace is in need of rescue or adoption from the Pocahontas County Animal Shelter in Marlinton, #WV.
