Meet Snoopy!

Snoopy is a beautiful, 1-1/2 year-old pittie mix. She is crate-trained, up to date on her vaccinations, and good with dogs and cats. She loves her humans, and hates when they are away from home, hence she has some separation anxiety. Her ideal forever family would either be experienced in dealing with separation anxiety in pets, or be open to training options to help Snoopy overcome her anxiety. Canine Cupids would be happy to recommend trainers!

Snoopy’s adoption fee is $100 and she is located in Milwaukee, WI. Because all our Cupids are fostered in private homes, an approved application MUST be on file before proceeding with a meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at

About Canine Cupids
Canine Cupids is a rescue in Milwaukee that is comprised of volunteers who have been fostering for various organizations and volunteering at our local animal control. Canine Cupids focuses on Milwaukee’s homeless dogs, but will always help a dog in need when we can — regardless of location.

Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it’s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual! We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they’ll make good companions based on prospective adopters’ lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed — it’s a complex mix of nature and nurture.

About Canine Cupids

About Our Rescue Group...

Canine Cupids' mission is to protect and improve the lives of Milwaukee's homeless, neglected, and exceptional needs dogs and to place them in permanent, loving homes.

Canine Cupids is a Certified 501c3 Organization
DATCPLicense: 288601-DS

Canine Cupids work with animals, within our community and throughout our organization is guided by three core values: compassion, integrity and dedication.

Because every animal deserves to be loved, we feel it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless dogs, and to place them in loving permanent homes.

We strive to work withMADACC as well as other rescues and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless pets within Milwaukee.

At Canine Cupids our founding principle is that "ALL dogs are individuals and deserve to be regarded as such". This mindset is core to the belief system at The Animal Farm Foundation. It assists in securing equal treatment and opportunity for "pit bull" dogs - as well as all dogs, regardless of size, color, etc.

"We owe it to all dogs to see them for who they really are, free of prejudice, stereotypes, and assumptions that are based on a known pedigree, a breed label guess, physical appearance, or their past history."*

"Breed related traits are not guaranteed. If a dog does conform to breed traits that does not mean a dog isn't an individual! Breed characteristics may contribute to a dog?s individuality, but they are not the whole story." *

Don't judge a book by its cover and don't judge a pooch by its stereotype!
