ELLERY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Ellery Breed: Yellow Lab/Terrier mix
Approximate Age: 6 months SEX: FEMALE
Approximate Weight: 25 lbs
Has Lived With: DOGS and CATS
Currently Living at: local foster
Special adoption considerations: young puppy, frequent potty breaks and socialization needed, commitment to spay by 6 months, additional vaccinations needed. Ellery is very shy and must go to a home with another dog to show her the ropes and a human who has some experience with shy dogs + a home without small children.
Hello humans, I'm Ellery and I like to WIGGLE WIGGLE! I am an adorable 12 week old yellow lab/terrier mix...what am I mixed with...who knows for sure but some wire-haired breed is a good guess because I have cute little whiskers on my face! Whatever my exact mix, they make one cute puppy!! I'm just a lil' gal now at about 8 pounds but you can bet I will keep growin'!
I love to play with my siblings and have lots of puppy wrestle sessions! As a liter we will jump all over people but I get a little more shy when I am all alone. But don't worry, my shelter buddies have helped me gain confidence and I know that a loving home of my very own is just what I need to be able to show all my lovin' off!
I want to spend these spring and summer days rompin' around the yard smellin' the pretty flowers. Maybe we could even go swimming...I would sure love to try to learn how to doggy paddle! They tell me lab mixes are usually good at that sport! My dream would be long walks, doggy parks, peanut butter kongs and a warm bed to call all mine.
Since I am so young, I am a blank slate ready to be trained and molded into your perfect pup! I will probably be good with kids and cats since I am just a puppy but I have never lived with them officially so if you have a feline friend my lucky dog friends can test me out!
I'm just a little girl so I'll need lot's of looking after. I'm sorry to say that if you work 9-5 away from home you aren't a good fit for me unless you can show documentation of a multiple times a day dog walker.
Due to a puppy's need for attention and frequent bathroom excursions, we do not adopt puppies into homes where no one is home during the day unless you commit to hiring a dog walker.
Like most puppies, Ellery will need to work on her housetraining. Ellery will also need to go to obedience school so she can grow into a well-socialized dog!
The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Megan at email@example.com!
