Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mei was found as a stray, likely discarded after many years of breeding; she spent about a month living in the shelter before DCSIR volunteers drove 10 hours to bring her into foster care. She is a senior red shiba inu, estimated to be around 10 years old, and is very tiny, at only 15 pounds. Despite being in pain from sore joints, bald spots, and rotted teeth, she is very sweet and loves being petted by people.
She had 15 teeth pulled, and will finally be able to eat without pain. She handled being at the vet very well, and was friendly during all her procedures. She is good with other dogs, cats, and children. She will be available to an extended adoption area (East Coast).
